 Exploring the Fan Set at Tai Chi Health Club
Learning the fan set offers a fresh and dynamic experience compared to traditional tai chi forms. It’s not just about graceful movement — the fan itself adds a layer of focus and intent, with roots in self-defense that make the practice both practical and intriguing.
At Tai Chi Health Club, I’ve developed a unique sequence of movements drawn from several styles. Right now, our students are working through the first 21 movements, with the full set expanding to 35. It’s a rewarding journey, and the challenge of mastering the fan — especially the art of opening and closing it smoothly — keeps everyone engaged.


🪭 A Shared Experience
On the last week of each month, we come together as a full class to learn and refine the fan set. It’s a great way to build skill, share progress, and enjoy the collective energy of learning something new.
Our students are embracing the challenge with enthusiasm, and it’s wonderful to see the confidence and coordination growing with each session.
